M.Tech. Naval Architecture & Ship Building
Duration: Min 2 years & Maximum of Five Years
- M.Tech. Naval Architecture & Ship Building Course is approved & conducted under collaboration with Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu.
Course is conducted in Regular mode.
Objectives & Job Opportunities:
The programme offers an internationally attractive and competitive education within design and analysis of Ships (Strength and hydrodynamic analysis), Ship building and repair of ships. Naval architects have a broad range of employment opportunities worldwide. There are wide job opportunities at present in the international Ship construction yards especially, at Korea, Japan and India etc. The student after obtaining the master degree can aspire for employment in ship building, Shipping, Ship Surveyor, Navy, Coastguard, Classification society, Ship and offshore design consultant, Naval administrations and also can do research and development work(R&D work) in various organizations (Govt. and private sectors) The student can pursue PhD in respective field.
Eligibility criteria to join the course:
Bachelor’s degree (or the equivalent) in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / B.Arch / Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture / Bachelor Degree in Nautical Science / Ship Building / Aeronautical Engineering.
