Naval Architecture & Ship Building

To ensure research and development in the field of Ship Design and operation for the growth of the Nation. To promote the research in Naval Architecture and Ship Building, allowing the development of relevant areas of international scientific knowledge. To present the development of recognized technological and scientific research activities at international level. To contribute to the high quality academic education in Naval Architecture and Ship Building and offering this education at international level. A Doctor of Philosophy, or Ph.D., in Naval Architecture and Ship Building allows students to gain an advanced education in the design and construction of Ship systems and structures. A Ph.D. in the field often involves years of intensive, individualized research into a particular aspect of naval Architecture and Ship Building. A Doctorate in Naval Architecture & Ship Building is responsible for researching, conceiving and designing new and advanced Ship systems and production platforms.

They focus heavily on the research aspects of the industry, and they often receive research positions in academic or naval associations such as Ship Yards, Indian Navy, Naval science & Technical Laboratory and various universities in Teaching Profession. Naval Architects have a wide range of employment opportunities, in UK, South Korea, Singapore, china, Japan, Vietnam, Germany, US & Netherland, where shipyards, Dry Docking yards, Boat Building Yards, offshore Structures etc., are being built. Navy all over the world also recruits a good number of Naval Architects every year to serve its requirements in PG level & Doctorate levels.

ME / M.Tech in Civil / Mechanical / Naval Architecture / Electrical / Marine Engineering / M.Arch / M.Sc – Naval Architecture / Aeronautical / Ship Building (or) C.O.C as Extra First Class Engineer / C.O.C as MEO Class I.
